How to use it
- Open Knowledge from the sidebar. The default lens is Semantic terrain; the top-left HUD still counts active notes (archived folders are excluded by default).
- To include archived notes, turn on Include archived in the HUD — remembered per vault. Active-only and with-archived each keep their own materialized cache.
- First open with no cache yet: you get an honest cold-build message (large vaults may take a minute or two). There is no fake progress percentage.
- Cache exists but vault content changed: the previous lens view shows immediately while the HUD says “Updating…”. When the background rebuild finishes, the view refreshes and tries to restore where you were.
- Use the top pill switch to move between Semantic terrain and Structure galaxy. Terrain answers “what is similar”; galaxy answers “what links to what.”
- In the structure lens, hovering a node lazily loads and lights the one-hop neighborhood; leaving clears it so the overview never pays the cost of every edge at once.
- In the semantic lens, peaks stay readable with soft glow markers. Hold ⌘/Ctrl and click a terrain spore to jump back into the structure galaxy focused on the same note.
The current screenshot still shows the older single-lens galaxy view. Keep it until the dual-lens capture set is reshot.
